Here at Windland Design, we take a hands-on approach to every bathroom remodeling project. We also provide detailed estimates, material samples, and aftercare instructions so that you can be confident in our process and results. Step 1: The Discovery Call

After you complete our consultation form, we will be in contact if your project needs meet our involvement criteria. Because we are a small boutique design studio, we chose our clients carefully to be able to give them our ultimate focus. During the Discovery Call, Barbara will help you further clarify your project needs and give you a clear understanding of our design process to determine if we both would like to move forward.

Step 2: The Consultation

The second step in the bathroom remodel process is the consultation. During the In-Home Consultation, clients will have up to 90 minutes to discuss the spaces that require the team's assistance. If the project is a new build or relocation, floor plans, house layouts, and concepts can be reviewed during the visit.

This essential meeting serves as an opportunity for clients and the design team to get to know each other and discuss pain points, evaluate possibilities and potential, and identify any pitfalls that clients may not be aware of. Additionally, the design team will share their design process for ensuring that all of the client's needs and wishes are met.

By the end of this consultation, clients will have a clear understanding of the project's scope and the type of design service needed to complete their project.

Step 3: The Proposal

The third step in the bathroom remodel process is the proposal. After the In-Home Consultation, clients will receive a follow-up report that is specifically tailored to their needs. The report will outline the design team's findings and suggestions for achieving the best possible outcome for the project. Additionally, a design fee will be given based on the scope of work and the estimated investment range required to complete the project to meet their expectations.

This proposal provides clients with a clear understanding of the design team's vision for the project, the costs involved, and the expected outcomes. By accepting the proposal, clients can move forward confidently, knowing that they have a well-defined plan in place and that the design team has a clear understanding of their needs and expectations.

What to Expect from a "Bathroom Remodel" design plan:

Barbara will come to your home for an initial walkthrough of your space, she calls it a "Dream or Idea Session". Together you'll discuss your space, the changes you'd like to make, and talk about inspiration images, existing pain points, and what your vision is for your new space.
Barbara will schedule a second visit to bring in her assistant for measuring and all the tradesmen and women it will take to execute a remodel - we call this our "Trades Day". *There will be additional costs if we need a Structural Engineer report for the project.
After all of the information has been gathered, Barbara will schedule a third meeting to present all aspects of the project as well as her recommendations for moving forward. During this meeting, Barbara will provide you with material selections, conceptual furnishings, fixtures and finishes, renderings, and drawings of your new bath so that you can visualize the beautiful end result. One materials-only revision is included with this service.

When it's all said and done, you'll have:

Actual material samples selected by Barbara specific to your style wants and dreams for your project (tile, countertop, cabinet, and hardware finishes).
Actual bids and investment figures from the tradesmen and women who will be working on your project so that you know and understand what it costs.
Design insight driven by Barbara for the best bath design including innovative storage ideas and efficiencies.
Conceptual Design Board to understand your bath project on a cohesive level throughout.
Actual renderings of your new bathroom layout and look so you can visualize the beautiful end result.
Guidance, feedback, and insight from Barbara on how to proceed with the project so that you are comfortable, confident, and knowledgeable about your project.
